SEPT. 16th — AUDUBON IN THE PARK
AND COASTWEEK CLEANUP DAY
The first big day for environmental action of the school year is September 16th, when there will be simultaneous clean-ups all around the South Bay. Use the date to attract new students to your eco and service clubs—both on campus and in the field.
KEN MALLOY HARBOR REGIONAL PARK will be the focus of Audubon activities. YES! will sponsor a booth at the weekend Carnival at the park, which runs Friday after 5, and Saturday and Sunday starting at 1.
Action on the 16th begins at 8 with a birdwalk for students and their families. The cleanup starts at 9 and will be followed at Noon by a picnic for participants, friends and families. Everyone who takes part in the cleanup will get coupons good for hot dogs and sodas at the picnic. The Carnival follows the picnic, so it’s a full day for all.
Meet at the boathouse for all events. To take part, call Debbie at 722-7777.
