2 hour walk through varied habitats. Bring appropriate footwear for wet/muddy
areas.
Place: Ken Malloy/Harbor Regional Park (and Machado Lake), Harbor
City/Wilmington
Target Birds: Over 300 species (200 regular). Lake/open
water, riparian woodland/willow forest, freshwater marsh, and sage-scrub
species, including seasonal migrants and vagrants. Least bittern, tricolored
blackbird resident. Other natural history featured also observed and discussed.

Directions: Meet in the parking area adjacent to the boat house at
the southwest corner of the park, between Anaheim Street, and Vermont Ave.
Take the Anaheim Street exit off the Harbor (110) Fwy. west to the park entrance,
just before Vermont/Gaffey. Turn right into park.
