Audubon Adventures is an elementary classroom program
that stimulates curiosity and helps develop an early respect for the beauty
and diversity of life on Earth. The Program provides students with
six issues of Audubon Adventures, an award-winning newspaper for
grade school children that is filled with stories about their natural
world and how they can contribute to the well-being of their environment.
Each issue comes with its own teacher's guide. Each enrolled class
also receives a spectacular wall poster featuring a critical wildlife habitat
and its own official Audubon Adventure certificate, suitable for framing!
Audubon Adventures covers a wide range of topics, with timely,
relevant stories and activities.
Participating classes may also arrange for chapter members to
visit them and lead filed trips or give supplementary programs.
The Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon Society is offering Audubon
Adventures at NO COST to local schools.
This program, which now reaches hundreds of thousands of
kids across the country, is designed for elementary school classes in grades
3 through 6. Classes can subscribe for either English or Spanish
editions.
